Hi, I'm Andy
I'm a freelance audio producer, video editor and voice over artist based in Melbourne, Australia. My background is mainly in the radio industry, with experience in television as well. My work has led me to Sydney and Melbourne, as well as Calgary, Canada.
I can either produce audio/video or perform voice over work in your studio (within Melbourne) or work from my Prahran based studio to anywhere in the world.

My studio hardware and software includes, but is not limited to:
- Pro Tools 2022.12 - the latest version of the industry standard audio workstation.
- DaVinci Resolve Studio 18 - an excellent Aussie-made up-and-comer in the video editing world.
- Sennheiser MKH 416 P48 - the '416' is the mic seen in professional studios everywhere.
- Audient ID14 audio interface - a Class A mic preamp is an essential component to maintain professional audio quality.
- Genelec 8330 studio monitors - the brand of monitor speakers used in mixing suites worldwide.
- SE Electronics Gemini II valve microphone - my midlife crisis mic, not gonna lie. You should hear it though.
- Zoom H6 portable field recorder - very handy for on-location recording, this one's used by many of the podcasting leaders.
- Zoom H1 handy recorder - great sounding in it's own right, it's also ideal as a backup to the above H6.
- Euphonix MC Transport – for speed and accuracy in audio editing.
- McDSP, Waves, Soundtoys & Native Instruments plug-ins - turning good audio into brilliant audio.

Isn't there another Andy Maher in Melbourne media?
Yes, there is. He's worked on TV and radio as a sports commentator. We were introduced once by a mutual acquaintance - he's a lovely bloke with a middle name different from mine. He's got the Wikipedia page, I've got the dot com. For reasons unexplained my brother follows him on Twitter.
